How to Befriend Papyrus covers the Snowdin friendship flag used by True Pacifist runs.

Before the fight

Progress Snowdin puzzles and story calls until Papyrus confronts you. Keep EXP at zero if you are aiming for Pacifist later.

During the fight

Survive bone patterns and blue attacks. Prefer MERCY / waiting him out over killing. When he offers capture and friendship beats, spare him. Killing Papyrus blocks the peaceful friendship path.

The date / hangout

After the fight, return to Papyrus’s house in Snowdin (Sans may be nearby). Enter and complete the spaghetti “date” sequence — dialogue choices are mostly comedic; finish the scene so the friendship sticks.
