Survive the chase

Progress Waterfall until Undyne’s pursuits and spear fights. Keep zero kills. When she collapses from heat after the Hotland chase segment, interact with the nearby water cooler and pour water on her. Skipping this step breaks the house visit.

House hangout

Return to Undyne’s house in Waterfall. If Papyrus is waiting outside, talk to him to enter. Finish cooking, dinner, and the faux battle. She should acknowledge you as a friend when the scene ends.

The letter

After friendship (and after Neutral is unlocked appropriately), Undyne asks you to deliver a letter to Alphys. Free an inventory slot. If she cannot hand it over, check near Papyrus’s house later.
